Scott Weber Legacy Performing Arts Academy

Scott Weber has been a principal dancer and acrobat at The Metropolitan Opera for more than a decade, most recently featured in Die Frau Ohne Schatten. His work extends across stage and screen: he will appear in the forthcoming film Kiss of the Spiderwoman with Jennifer Lopez, and his additional credits include The Greatest Showman (film), Broadway productions of King Kong and M. Butterfly, and Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour. Beyond the Met, he has performed as a principal with Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo and danced with Boston Ballet, reflecting the breadth of his artistic career.

Weber received his training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, the University of California, Irvine, Southland Ballet Academy, and the Jimmie DeFore Dance Center, where he developed the classical foundation that underpins his dynamic stage presence. Before embarking on his professional dance career, he was a three-time Junior Olympic Gymnastics National Champion on floor exercise, earning national medals on vault and competing internationally, including training at Beijing’s National Training Center. Recruited by top collegiate gymnastics programs such as Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, the University of Nebraska, Stanford, and West Point Military Academy, he ultimately chose dance — forging a path that unites the rigor of elite athletics with the artistry of ballet, Broadway, and film.
