About Legacy Performing Arts Academy

From tiny dancers to pre-professionals and adult—Legacy is a non-competitive academy for all ages, all levels, and all styles offering mentorship, commercial opportunities, and a training experience rooted in purpose. Legacy Performing Arts Academy is a premier space for dancers and performers, with year-round and seasonal programs in ballet, jazz, hip hop, pointe, modern, and more. We blend rigorous technique with real-world industry access to help students build confidence, skill, and lasting impact. Guided by a dedicated team of teaching artists and a professional advisory board, we prepare dancers for both the stage and the world beyond it. Our year culminates in a vibrant Spring Concert and a classical all-levels ballet performance.

Legacy Pathways & Programs

Training for Every Stage of the Journey:  structured, division-based training model designed to support dancers of all ages, levels, and goals—from early exploration to pre-professional development

Program Highlights

EARLY CHILDHOOD DIVISION

For tiny dancers (Ages 2-6)
Creative movement and introductory dance classes that nurture confidence, coordination, and imagination—while building a joyful foundation.

CORE
DIVISION

Recreational & Technical Training (Ages 7-18)
Open to dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels. A comprehensive track offering ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, and more—with an emphasis on strong technique, versatility, and personal expression in a relaxed and nurturing enviroment.

PRE-PROFESSIONAL DIVISION

Placement Based (Ages 12-18)
For motivated dancers preparing for conservatory and summer programs, collegiate dance pathways, professional auditions, or those simply ready to push their training to the next level. This placement-based track includes advanced ballet, electives, one on one development,  and access to personalized industry mentorship.  Students gain real-world experience through performance opportunities, casting calls, mentorships and internships—facilitated in part by Legacy’s professional advisory board.

Artistic Development

Legacy nurtures each dancer’s unique creative voice—from young movers exploring expression to advanced students refining their artistry.  Through professional coaching, dancers in all divisions build confidence, presence, storytelling, and movement skills—learning to move with intention and confidence both on stage and in life.

Alongside technique, students gain a deeper understanding of dance as a cultural and historical art form—studying the origins, language, etiquette, and values that shape each style with respect and curiosity.  Through group work, collaboration, and shared creative experiences, Legacy also fosters a strong sense of teamwork and community—reminding every dancer they are part of something greater than themselves.

Performance Opportunities

All students participate in our annual Spring Concert, while dancers in the Core and Pre-Professional Divisions (ages 9–18) perform in a Classical All-Levels Ballet Production—featuring excerpts from iconic works such as Swan Lake, Gisselle, and Sleeping Beauty. Additional performance tracks and opportunities are offered throughout the year for advanced and pre-professional students.

Advisory & Industry Support

Legacy’s teaching artists are established performers and choreographers who bring real-world experience directly into the studio. Their expertise ensures that students—whether in the classroom, preparing for professional programs, or performing—receive current, industry-relevant training. This approach equips dancers across all divisions to thrive in any setting, from local stages to professional sets.
