Beginner Theatre Jazz (60 minutes) This beginner-level Theatre Jazz class is designed for adult dancers with little to no prior experience, offering a dynamic introduction to jazz technique infused with the stylized flair of musical theatre. Taught by teaching artists experienced in guiding adult beginners, the class blends classical jazz foundations with character-driven choreography and performance skills. Dancers will explore isolations, stylized across-the-floor progressions, and center combinations that emphasize rhythm, storytelling, and expressive intention. Each week introduces movement inspired by iconic Broadway styles—ranging from Fosse to contemporary musical theatre—with a focus on clarity, presence, and musicality.
