Legacy Scholarship Program


The Legacy Scholarship Program provides tuition-based awards to selected students for participation in formal training at Legacy Performing Arts Academy. Candidates are nominated through partner organizations and invited to attend a scholarship class as part of the selection process.

Awards are granted based on demonstrated focus, responsiveness to instruction, and the capacity to engage within a structured training environment.


Nomination Guidelines
 

Nominations are submitted exclusively through partner organizations, including Boys & Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Submissions from outside of approved organizations will not be considered.


Program Timeline
 

  • Nomination Period: April 1, 2026 – May 31, 2026

  • Scholarship Class: June 2026 --TBD

  • Decision Release: July 1, 2026

  • Acceptance Deadline: July 8, 2026

  • Program Term: September 14, 2026 – May 30, 2027


Eligibility
 

  • Students ages 9–18

  • No prior dance training required

  • Ability to commit to weekly class attendance upon acceptance


Selection Process
 

Following the close of the nomination period, selected candidates will be invited to attend a scholarship class in June 2026. This class serves as a primary component of the evaluation process.  Participation in the scholarship class does not guarantee selection. Final awards are determined at the discretion of Legacy Performing Arts Academy.

This form is intended for use by partner organizations to nominate students for consideration in the Legacy Scholarship Program. All submissions are reviewed internally, and selected students will be invited to attend a scholarship class as part of the evaluation process.
